Sakai European Regional Conference 2010

The Universidad Politécnica de Valencia in Spain will be hosting the 3th European Regional Sakai Conference that will take place on 1st -3rd  of March 2010.

The conference will be inside the group of buildings called CPI  (Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación). This place is inside the Vera campus of the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. 

 

 

Location:

  • Universidad Politécnica de Valencia – Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación
  • Buildings 8E and 8B. (Red Cube, Blue Cube, Yellow Cube)
  • Take any entrance to the CPI (preferable the one between number 4 and 5)
  • Then take the external elevator to floor 3 (Terrace)
  • Look for the Red Cube (marked with a J) or Blue Cube (marked with a N)

There will be a BOOTCAMP on Sakai 2 on Monday 1st of March which will focus on configuration and maintenance. And two days of conference sessions on March 2nd  and 3rd.  To attend this bootcamp take a look at the prerequisites.

Registration

The registration Fee is 100 EUR, it includes coffee and lunch for the three days and special dinner on the 2nd of March.

Hotels

Attendees are requested to undertake hotel bookings on their own, but UPV have blocked some rooms with special fees in three hotels located near the UPV and the City of the Sciences.

Sports Activities

We are planning sports activities for the evening of the 1st of March. We will have both a basketball match and a indoor soccer match. Be sure to let us know if you're interested when completing your registration form.

Proposals

All the proposals must be sent to this email address eurosakai2010@upv.es . We encourage you to collaborate, explaining your experience with sakai to all of us. There will be two parallel sessions, the main themes will be:

  • Developing, Implementing and Using Sakai, and
  • User Support experiences.

Polimedia Studios available

Polimedia is a webcasting technology developed by the UPV for the production of multimedia contents, in a special way that can combine the image and voice of the presenter simultaneously with the presentations or computer applications that are being used. Very close to the conference rooms there will be three polimedia studios available to all conference attendees. If you want to experience how easy is to record your contents and share them instantly, you can reserve a slot in the studios and try it. It will only take you 30 minutes.
The reservations of the slots for the Polimedia studios will be available at the conference rooms.
